Beautiful sight along the bay.
The bay was beautiful today until of course we had to dock! Cue the winds which jumped up to 26 knots. Once inside the channel though it was protected and not a problem. The marina is huge and is a resort. They hold several weddings each weekend. The pool wasn't open yet but looked very nice. We didn't try the restaurant or bar but did go to the beach and walk the gardens. Across the street is the market which along with selling staples and alcohol sells great sandwiches and yummy ice cream. We made sure to have our egg sandwiches in the morning before we left.

There are gorgeous fountains and areas to sit to overlook the bay.
We arrived with our flotilla- Jackpot, Two by Tow, Skafos, Cashelmara, and Wild Rover joined us. We were on the T head of the transient dock so we had an amazing view from the bow. This marina is so large, they have over 600 slips. One morning Izzy and I walked all away around and back. It was about 2 miles.
Gemini hosted dominoes one night and we had a great time. Kevin and Lisa, Bonnie and Doris and I played several rounds. Jeff and Hal sat in the salon and chatted the entire time. Happy I found some people to play games with but sad it was so late in our loop.

The shuttle took us to the Herrington Harbor North to West Marine. It is on their property. Then Sophia, shuttle driver, took us the scenic route to a grocery store. The grocery was in Chesapeake City which was a quaint little town. The grocery store was small but had everything we needed. We found out that The Perch, Kim Russo and Mike Martin, were at a marina in this town. This looks like a great stop too.
I would recommend this marina as a resort type of stop. A place to relax and sit at the beach. Izzy and I enjoyed walking the grounds and beach. Dogs are allowed before 9 am and after 5 pm.
