What a beautiful day to travel. There was some current getting out of the marina, but after that smooth sailing. While we were underway we were buzzed by some motorized parachuters. We saw parasails on top of seats with motors. We were also accompanied by the dolphins. At one point they jumped almost as high as the pilothouse.

St. Petersburg is a really happening town. We were docked right on the pier. The town was a block away. We were met by David and Lynn who are liveaboards at this marina but on the opposite side of the transient dock. They just crossed their wake when they got back to St. Petersburg. David made reservations for all of us at a delicious Italian restaurant. It was wonderful to see them. After dinner we all walked to the end of the pier. There are entertainers and restaurants along the way. Since it is almost Christmas there were Christmas lights set up. The palm trees are also decorated as candy canes.

Saturday, I took a 3 mile walk in a park that run along the water way. It was hoping with runners, walkers, and bike riders. Then Brenda, Mary and I went to the farmers market. It was filled with fresh organic produce, breads, cheeses, and arts and crafts. There were also food trucks with a huge variety of ethnic foods. Then we went to Publix for the rest of the provisions.

My brother-in-law Paul, and his dog Nacho, drove from Boca Raton to see us. He arrived in the afternoon and we took a drive to a different Publix to try and find some more Snapple for Hal. I was only able to get 12 bottles. (Not enough for Hal). We were successful in getting 6 more 6 packs. After returning everything to the boat, we walked to get dinner at Sushi Inc. We were so happy to get fresh, delicious sushi, and it was really great. Our friends do not like sushi so they chose not to join us.

Sunday was a lazy morning and then we took a drive over to Tampa. After walking around the waterside we had a filling brunch at Jackson's Bistro. On the way back to the marina we stopped at yet two more Publix to find more Snapple, but we were unsuccessful. Paul left in the early afternoon to get back before too late. We stayed outside and chatted with Tom from O'Tug, Brenda, Sonny, Chris and Mary. Everyone retired to their boats early to chill and relax. We are headed to Sarasota tomorrow.
